With Maitland Railway Station being only a short 8 minute walk from the event site, catching a train into Maitland NYE is one of the easiest ways to get into the event.

There are a range of car parks available around Central Maitland if you choose to drive to Maitland New Year’s Eve.

- Elgin Street Car Park
- Riverside Plaza Car Park (extended hours until 10.00pm – access via Bulwer Street)
- St Andrews Street
Each of the car parks listed have accessible parking available.

With the amount of people attending the event, parking can become an issue for some.
Taxi services will be available throughout the event weekend.
The official taxi ranks will not be affected by the road closures or the event.
They are located at:
- Elgin Street opposite ANZ
- Ken Tubman Drive opposite cinemas
- Temporary Bus Zones be installed on Ken Tubman Drive between High Street Maitland and Allan Walsh Drive; and, Ken Tubman Drive east of Church Street.
- Temporary resident only parking Denman Street, Maitland.

Maitland New Year’s Eve Celebrations are held in the Riverside Car Park, Maitland, RH Taylor Reserve, Lorn and Maitland Riverbank.
Maitland New Year’s Eve runs from 5.00pm – 9.00pm.
Maitland New Year’s Eve is a free event for all to attend.
Dogs are permitted on site at Maitland New Year’s, however they must be on a leash and with their owner at all times.
We ask that dog owners respect the event site as well as other event attendees by picking up after your dog.
We expect crowds of around 8,000 – 10,000 people so we ask that you don’t bring any dogs with an aggressive nature to the event.
We also ask that you keep in mind that there will be a fireworks display.

The fireworks display will commence at 9.00pm at Maitland New Year’s. Don’t miss it!

The alcohol free zone is lifted from 3.00pm – 9.30pm.
During this time, patrons can bring and consume small quantities of alcohol within the event site.
There will be no alcohol sales within the event.
